The Victoria County Fire Marshal’s Office is the law enforcement agency responsible for fire and arson investigations, fire inspections, and life safety fire code enforcement in the unincorporated areas of Victoria County. The County Fire Marshal is a certified Fire and Arson Investigator, certified Fire Inspector, and licensed Peace Officer with the State of Texas.

• Fire and arson investigations

• Support and coordination with 11 volunteer fire departments
• Public education and fire prevention programs
• Investigation of citizen complaints related to fire and life safety hazards
Countywide Coordination
The Fire Marshal’s Office works collaboratively with emergency management, law enforcement, county departments, and volunteer fire departments throughout Victoria County. The office provides investigative support, inspections, training, fire prevention initiatives, and emergency coordination services countywide.
Office Structure
In 2025, the Victoria County Fire Marshal’s Office became a standalone county department, separate from fire suppression operations. While operating independently, the office continues to maintain close working relationships with all volunteer fire departments throughout the county.
