DiAnna Harris, RN

Nursing Manager

“Whether it is giving life-saving immunizations, counseling someone who has just been diagnosed with HIV, traveling long distances to medicate patients with tuberculosis, working the aftermath of a hurricane; or gathering data and educating the public during an epidemic or pandemic; the public health nursing department is always there working behind the scenes for our citizens.”

The Victoria County Public Health Nursing division elevates the health of the citizens of Victoria and the surrounding areas through Immunization, Tuberculosis, and Sexually Transmitted Disease programs, and other public health interventions and education activities.  Di Anna has been the Nursing manager of this department for 5 years and a public health nurse for 25 years.  She graduated cum laude with an Associates of Applied Science-Nursing degree from Victoria College.  Di Anna has served as a member and chairperson of the Crossroads Immunization Action Coalition, and is a long term member of the regional Child Fatality Review Team.  She has enjoyed contributing to the well-being of our community for many years by using her knowledge of vaccines and public health issues to provide valuable guidance to healthcare providers and care to residents.
