Emmanuel Opada

Epidemiologist

Emmanuel was born and raised in Nigeria, West Africa. He graduated from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria with a degree in medicine and surgery in 2012. He practiced medicine for several years before taking a role with international organization, FHI360 on a global fund project on HIV Prevention, care and Treatment in Northeast Nigeria in 2017. During this period, he provided technical support in the HIV prevention, care and treatment for a population of internally displaced persons of about 44,000 and enrolling over 100 PLHIVs into care in Northeast Nigeria. He obtained his masters in public health(MPH) from Saint Louis University, Missouri. He is certified in Public health by The National Board of Public Health Examiners.  Also prior to taking up the role as Epidemiologist at the Victoria County Public Health Department, he worked as a Technical Advisor/ Epidemiologist at a nonprofit Organization in Saint Louis, WalknFaith,Inc.
